Music Front cover Target Audience Suggestions
After to speaking to my target audience of the classic rock genre and showing my first magazine front cover they had some suggestions for improvements to my Front Cover, it was positive criticism so i looked over there different improvements and changed them to my front cover. The different improvements were:
· The text on the right hand side should not be the same font as the mast head.
· The Text on the right hand side “The Beatles” should be a different colour to “All-time top 20” and the same goes for “The Kinks” “On Lola”
· The Barcode should be lowered and the price and date should be smaller font.
· Were it says “Inside free Beatles Poster!!” it should be changed to “Beatles poster inside!!” and there should be a block colour behind “Inside” so it stands out.
1. I have changed the font from Royal Acid Bath to Segoe UI
2. As you can see I have changed the text from all red to “The Beatles” to red colour text and changed the font to Segoe UI and for “All Time top 20” it is also Segoe UI but changed the colour of the text to blue I also did this for “The Kinks” and “On Lola”
3. I have gotten rid of “Free” in “Inside free Beatles poster” and I have taken the suggestions of the audience and changed it to “Beatles Poster inside!!” and I have added a block colour text box behind “Inside” because the people I asked suggested that it would stand out better and catch the readers eye.
4. The final improvement they suggested to me was to make the barcode smaller and make the text smaller I have done this because it should not of been in big size font it should of bee smaller and I have changed that.

Double page spread Picture Before and After

Here is the Picture I am going to use on my magazine double page spread, the reason I picked this picture because it is on landscape and also it looks very calm and relaxed it has a humor side with the people are a sleep but in the top right it says “ON AIR”, as you can tell I have modified the picture and it looks more effective and professional, the sections I have changed to the picture are I have got ridden on the couch and replaced with a blanket on top of the boys also removed the back ground and replaced it with a white brick wall to do this I used the stamp to toll to fill the back ground and I have chosen to make the picture black and with to give it an old effect the only thing that is not in black and white is the “ON AIR” letters they are in red so that they can be seen. I also used the spot healing tool on all the actors.

These are my venue release forms I had to get these signed by all the people participating in my photo shot, there were four models so I had each of them complete and sign these forms.

Music Magazine Title Evaluation
The name which I have decided to name my music magazine is
JUKEBOX the reason I choose this name is because I believe it fits the genre which
is Classic Rock perfectly. The type of
bands I wish to capture around is the Beatles, The Who and the Kinks etc and
these are all so the ear around 1960- 1970 and the title Jukebox fits because
around the 1960s is when the Jukebox started to become more famous in America
and around the world and they were also being used for inspiration for songs because
the Kinks created a song called Jukebox Music in the 1970s. I believe the choice of my Title covers the
elements of the 1960s and 70s with hip and swinging music.
I had also come up with a few other ideas for titles which I decided
not to use. One was “Stone”, the reason I decided not to use
this title was because it was very imaginative and also short and it not very catchy
so it could be forgotten by the readers and it was to simple and had no meaning
to the genre choice.Another name which i thought of was "Match Box" but i decided not to use this name the reason being it was to simple and not imaginative and i wanted a name which the reader would see and know straight away what type of genre this music magazine was aimed at.
Music Magazine font styles
I have chosen the font Royal Acidbath to use as my title font, this is because the style of the font fits in with the genre of music i have chosen of classic rock and this looks like an old retro font and it fit in perfectly with the style of my magazine, the title is called JUKEBOX and i decided that the font looked better in all caps this is because the ending of the letters all have long tails on the end of them and it makes the front cover more eye catching and attractive.
I also did try three other styles of font when selecting the title font:

Target Audience
The target audience which my music magazine is going to aimed at is the age group of 15-21 years old; it will be aimed at both genders both male and female, however it will be more focused towards the male audience. The genre which my music magazine is going to be about is Classic Rock so it will look at different bands such as: Beatles, The Who, The Jam and the Kinks etc. The name of my music magazine is going to be called Jukebox the reason for this is because it links in with my genre of classic rock old type of music and it is also related to music to get this name a created a mind map with name in the middle and branched different ideas of it.
My Typical reader would be a male aged around 17, this would be a simple down to earth person, very chilled out and laid back enjoys themselves when out with friends who like the same music as them and it will be played when they are at social events e.g. parties, also him and his friends can have conversations about the different bands artist and albums.

This is the first of my Photoshop edits the pitcure at the top is the first picture, then the picture underneath is the edited picture as you can see on the left hand side of the pictures the shadow on the first picture has been removed and has also been removed of the bench to remove this shadow i used the tool within Photoshop which isc called the Clone stamp tool this me to select a section of the picture and cover it soem were else and it will make it look that it is actually part of the picture

Thursday Pictures
On thursday in our media lesson we were sent out in group with our shot lists to take photos for our school magazine we are going to create .
These above are some of the photos i took which i inculded onto my shot list which was of the of the D building, this photo is of a mid shot of the D building and a long shot of the two people, these are good pictures becasue they are not blurred the lighting is good. I will most likley use the first picture becasue the people in it look more natural like they are attending a lesson.
These are another example of good photos, the photo at the top is an over the shoulder shot of Mr Pooly working in the technology building this is a good photo because it shows him working the lighting in the room, the picture below shows one of my models in libary reading a book showing the facilities within the school the lighting is just right it not to bright that you cant see the model but its not too dark and the camera shot is at the right angle not slanted and the model is looking natural like he is actualy pondering of getting the book in my school newletter i will use both of these pictures, the first because to show the technology side of the school and the facilities, an the second one to show the facilities in the libary and what it can be used for.
This photo is an example of a bad photowhich i will not be using this is because it is blurred, you can tell its blurred because the computers if you look are fuzzy and you can not see the faces clearly.
